I believe life is all about making choices. From the food we eat to which direction and path to take for enlightenment, we keep making choices all the time. The option we selected in the past results in our present situation and the choice that we shall make now will determine our future. As I learnt the symbolism of the cards I understood my sub conscious mind and myself much better.
‘The Fool’s Journey’ is a metaphor for the journey through life. Each Major Arcana card stands for a stage on that journey – an experience that a person must incorporate to realize his wholeness. The Fool begins in life with a fresh slate, full of innocence and openness. Then comes the Magician who has all the tools in life to succeed – a wand for primal energy, a cup for emotions, a pentacle for abundance and a sword for intellect and thought. Along his journey the Fool also meets an Empress, the Lovers, Strength, Justice and Death. Death doesn’t mean what we think it means – it’s not about actual death but more about endings and beginnings. But then! The real danger comes along – in The Devil and the Tower. The Tower represents downfall, explosive change, a crumbling of foundations. But never fear! All is not lost; the Moon and Sun and the WORLD are the end to his journey. The Fool’s journey can be a lot like our life journey and each card is able to help us reflect where we are in our lives at that present stage.
“We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think. When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves.”
Meditating on Tarot cards has given me a deep insight, which has helped me tackle situations more tactfully. Tarot has helped me making very difficult choices not only for myself but also for my clients. But along comes a huge responsibility, as my clients take decisions based on the tarot predictions done by me. Whenever I do a predictions I always remember what my Guru used to say ‘if you have a pure heart and a clear conscience, god will see you through’. And it stands true for me till date and I think that’s what has helped me become a successful Tarot Reader.
Tarot has always been a guiding force. It has taught me a lot of things one of them being the difference between giving up and letting go;
